This site is published on behalf of the organising committee of the Africa–Europe International Conference on Insolvency, bringing together:

• the Fonds Scientifique Jean Bastin (FSJB);
• Libreville International University – Berthe & Jean (UIL-BJ);
• Semen Africa Consulting.

Publishing entity

To align this notice with the privacy policy, the day-to-day operation of the Site is handled by:

Co-chairing and publication director

The Site is currently accessible at https://ciaei-semen.vercel.app, a subdomain provided by the host Vercel. No dedicated domain name is separately registered at this time; should one be acquired, this section will be updated with the registrar's details.

Intellectual property

All content on this site (text, images, logo, visual identity, structure) is protected by copyright and remains the property of the organising committee or its partners, unless stated otherwise.

Any reproduction, representation, adaptation or distribution, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited and may constitute infringement.

Trademarks and logos. The CIAEI name and logo, as well as the names and logos of FSJB, UIL-BJ, Semen Africa Consulting and sponsors, are the property of their respective owners. Their use without authorisation is prohibited.

Short-quotation exception. Short quotations are permitted for information, teaching or research purposes, provided the source ("Africa–Europe International Conference on Insolvency") is credited and, where possible, a link to the Site is included.

Scientific contributions. Authors retain their rights over the contributions they submit. By submitting a contribution, they grant the organising committee a free, non-exclusive licence to reproduce and distribute it as part of the conference (programme, proceedings, Site), for the full duration of the rights and worldwide. Detailed terms are set out in the call for contributions.

Talks, photos and videos. Presentation materials, recordings and speaker profiles remain the property of their authors. Their distribution on the Site relies on written authorisation collected from each speaker (see the privacy policy).

Reporting. If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, write to [email address] specifying the content concerned and the basis for your request. We will review your report promptly and remove the content if it is manifestly unlawful.

Personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data collected on the Site is described in the Privacy Policy, in accordance with Gabonese law No. 001/2011 as amended by law No. 025/2023 and the GDPR. The Site only uses strictly necessary cookies (language, admin session); no audience-measurement or advertising cookie is placed.

The organising committee strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information but cannot guarantee the completeness of the information published. The programme, speakers, venues and times are indicative and may change; only information sent by email to registered participants is authoritative.

Content published on the Site, in particular scientific contributions and talks, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Opinions expressed by speakers and authors are their own.

The committee cannot be held liable for Site interruptions, damage related to internet use, or viruses that may infect a user's equipment. It may suspend access to the Site for maintenance without notice.

Hyperlinks

This site may contain links to third-party sites (partners, institutions, sponsors, speaker profiles). The organising committee cannot be held responsible for the content of these external sites, over which it has no control.

Links to the Site. Simple links to the Site's homepage may be created freely, provided the conference is not presented in a misleading or disparaging manner. Framing the Site within another site, and deep links for commercial purposes, require prior authorisation.

Accessibility and languages

The Site is available in French and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions of this legal notice, the French version prevails. The committee strives to make the Site accessible to as many people as possible; any access difficulty may be reported to [email address].

Governing law and disputes

This legal notice is governed by Gabonese law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution. Failing that, the competent courts of Libreville shall have sole jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rules protecting consumers in their country of residence.
