Terms and conditions of sale
Last updated: 13 October 2026

Any ticket order constitutes unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs, which prevail over any other document, unless the seller agrees otherwise in writing beforehand.

Ticket formulas and pricing
The Site offers several ticket formulas (Student, Professional, VIP), the content of which is detailed on the Registration page at the time of ordering. Prices are expressed in CFA francs (FCFA); an equivalent euro price may be offered for card payment, set independently by the organiser and may differ from the day's exchange rate. The price applicable to an order is the one displayed on the Site when it is confirmed.
[to confirm : are displayed prices inclusive or exclusive of tax? Is the organising committee liable for Gabonese VAT on this service?]
Quotas and availability
The number of tickets may be limited per formula. An order is only definitively guaranteed once payment is confirmed (see "Payment methods" below). Should a quota be exhausted between form submission and payment confirmation, the organising committee reserves the right to offer an alternative formula or to refund the amount paid in full.
Payment methods
Two payment methods are offered, depending on the formula and the participant's profile:
- Card (Visa, Mastercard), in euros, via Stripe: immediate online payment at the time of ordering. Card details are entered exclusively on Stripe's secure page and are never transmitted to, or stored by, the organising committee.
- Mobile Money (Airtel Money or Moov Money), in CFA francs, via Bamboo Pay: a payment request is sent to the participant's phone as soon as the order is placed, which they must approve from their own device. If not approved, the organising team may, on the day of the conference, resend a request or manually confirm payment once collected. The order remains "pending" and the ticket is issued only once payment is confirmed.
Order confirmation and ticket issuance
For a card payment, a confirmation is sent by email as soon as payment is received by Stripe. For a Mobile Money payment, the ticket is issued and emailed as soon as payment is confirmed by our Mobile Money provider, or, failing that, by the organising team on the day of the conference. The ticket bears a QR code to be presented at the conference front desk; it is personal and may not be resold.
Right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and Article 16(l) of European Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights — which exclude from the right of withdrawal contracts for accommodation, transport, catering or leisure services to be provided on a specific date — participants do not benefit from a 14-day withdrawal period when purchasing a conference ticket, since the conference is held on a fixed date. Gabonese law likewise provides no withdrawal period for this type of service.
Cancellation by the participant
Any cancellation request must be sent by email to contact@ciaei.semen-africa.com, stating the name used at registration.
[to confirm — intended refund policy, for example: full refund up to 30 days before the conference, 50% between 30 and 15 days before, no refund within 15 days.]
Transferring the ticket to another person, free of charge, remains possible on simple written request stating the name and email of the new participant. [to confirm: deadline for a transfer.]
Cancellation, postponement or changes by the organiser
Should the conference be cancelled or postponed for a reason beyond its control (force majeure, administrative decision, insufficient attendance, etc.), the organising committee informs registered participants as soon as possible by email and offers, at the participant's choice, either a full refund of the ticket or to keep it valid for the new date. The organising committee cannot be held liable for incidental costs incurred by the participant (travel, accommodation, visa) in the event of cancellation or postponement.
The programme, speakers and schedule are indicative and may be changed without giving rise to a refund, except in the event of full cancellation of the conference.
Invoicing
A payment receipt may be sent by email on request to contact@ciaei.semen-africa.com.
[to confirm: is an invoice systematically issued for orders paid by a company or institution?]
Complaints
Any complaint relating to an order may be addressed to contact@ciaei.semen-africa.com or via the Contact page form. The organising committee endeavours to respond within a reasonable time.
Personal data protection
Data collected when ordering a ticket, including payment-related data, is processed in accordance with the Site's Privacy policy.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These T&Cs are governed by Gabonese law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts of Libreville shall have sole jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers in their country of residence.
Language and contact
These T&Cs are available in French and English; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails. For any question: contact@ciaei.semen-africa.com.
Amendments to these T&Cs
These T&Cs may be amended at any time; the version applicable to an order is the one in force on the Site when it is confirmed. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
